What is Abrasive?

What does abrasive mean?

The English word "Abrasive" in Turkish; in return; It is “abrasive material, grinding material”. In our industry, it is called abrasive, rather grinding stone.

In other words, abrasive used in our sector is the products that are used in the abrasion, polishing, chamfering and honing of marble, granite and tiles and are formed by the combination of different chemicals.

The main material of abrasive manufacturers is abrasive salt. This salt melts during application and creates small pores in the abrasive. With these pores, the abrasive feature of the abrasive emerges. The most important issue in abrasive salt is the absence of foreign matter in the salt. If there is foreign matter in the salt, the floor on which you will polish is scratched during the polishing process.

Chamfer Abrasives are abrasives that are used in beveling and polishing of marbles and granites in beveling machines in the marble industry and are very easy to attach to the machine. Thanks to their high technology, they are products with very high efficiency.

Marble polishing machines prefer marble chamfer abrasives due to their easy availability in the market, high polishing quality and reasonable price.

Chamfer Abrasives differ among themselves in terms of binder and agent materials.

Synthetic Based Chamfer Abrasives

The abrasives to be used in our Marble Polishing Machines must definitely be Synthetic Based Abrasives made of Polyester Resin. Do not use magnesite abrasive in our machine.

In this way, your machine will not wear out because it is not forced while it is working, and it will shine more than Magnesite Abrasive even though you give less water and low pressure to the polished marble surface. Above all, it is an abrasive that increases the speed of your marble polishing work.

Chamfer Abrasive Numbers, which are very common in the market, are

60 – 120 – 180 – 220 – 320 – 400 – 600 – 800 – It is 9 stages consisting of polish.

If your marble surface is needed, first calibration is made with a diamond caliber set of around 36-60. Then, 9 stages are completed, consisting of 60 - 120 - 180 - 220 - 320 - 400 - 600 - 800 - Polishing from Chamfer Abrasive Polishing Stones, respectively.
